If You Think the Road is Dangerous addresses questions of experientiality, the hierarchy of senses and an individual’s relationship with community. It consists of a long, winding corridor that has two entry/exit points on opposite sides of the construction. By default there is no light in the space.
Halfway inside there is a light switch on the wall. Pushing this switch will light fixtures on the ceiling of the corridor. The light remains on only for the duration of the action of pushing the switch – if this action is ceased, the light is turned off again.
The installation was exhibited as part of the 2014 /theatre.now -festival titled “Business as unusual”.
